| Another
spring, another catalogue, another collection of goodies
for you - ties, scarves and boxers in wonderful new designs
and colourways.
The Gallery Collection has developed considerably with the
support of our Licensors, to include designs inspired by Monet,
Modernism, more Rennie Mackintosh and William Morris. Decorative
Detail includes gorgeous Islamic designs, Art Deco, Roman and
a fabulous Imperial Bee, based on a detail from Napoleon’s
throne. We have new printed Fleur de Lis and different colourways
for the Celtic Buckle.
Following the success of our first scarves last year, especially
William Morris’ Daffodil and Voysey’s Trees, the
new range includes designs inspired by Monet, Rennie Mackintosh,
William Morris, Islamic art and two stunning designs from the
Wedgwood Museum. These are all hand-hemmed, in soft silk crêpe
de chine.
Flying the Flag embraces Isambard Kingdom Brunel on his 200th
birthday, the delightful Bryn Parry Knights (Late Knight, Steamy
Knight, Heavy Knight...) and Concorde, a tribute to our aviation
history. Steadman’s Nelson was a tough act to follow,
but All at Sea boasts two beautiful Antique Maps and a Celestial
Chart. The
Music Room includes our Mozart design, for those celebrating
his 250th anniversary. The Bard gives us Shakespeare Insults,
Drinking and Music. In Sporty Types Bill Shankly’s famous
quotation celebrates the Football World Cup and Bryn’s
best-selling Jockey Silks is now in the pink, perfect for Ascot.
Country Life fmally has a much- requested Pointer, with our
old friend Infamous Grouse taking no nonsense, and the beautiful
lady in Shooting Stockings looks familiar. Guesses on a postcard,
please! Body ... and Soul ranges from the stunning Double Helix,
to a classic teddy to honour the anniversary of A A Milne’s
death 50 years ago. Travel Bug offers a glorious pink version
of an old favourite, Hot Air Balloons and a great new Classic
Car.
Bryn went on safari last yeas and
came back with inquisitive Meerkats, handsome Wildebeest
and an enchanting Warthog. The NHM have contributed a very
happy Hippo to On Safari. Bryn has also been down on the
farm and has given us Chickens, Cows, Pig and Sheep in Wellies
and a gorgeous Turkey, perfect for Christmas Day.
The Classic Collection has been given a great contemporary
boost by Penny Kennedy, well-known for her wonderful gift
wrap designs. The Completely Dotty range has trendy summer
pastels and all-yeas-round classic reds and navies, and
the Wovens include many great new patterns.
